Nevada Revises State Transition Plan After CMS Evaluation; Will Create Transition Advisory Committee

The State of Nevada Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) which manages the HCBS waiver program for Nevada submitted on Aug. 10, 2015 a revised State Transition Plan (STP) in response to a July 9, 2015 letter from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).  Nevada submitted its original STP in Feb. 2015 as directed by CMS in its Final Rule CMS-2249/2296-F. In addition to the revised plan, DHCFP responded affirmatively to LTO Ventures’ request for creation of a Transition Advisory Committee of agencies, providers, families, advocates, and self-advocates to monitor and provide feedback on the progress of the implementation of the STP.
