CMS Issues New Guidance on Final Settings Rule

On March 22, 2019, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced updated sub-regulatory guidance, issued as a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs), that streamlined and clarified the “heightened scrutiny” process. We are pleased with some of the major changes incorporated into this new guidance, but serious concerns remain whether you are planning a setting that will utilize Medicaid waiver-funded supports, or you plan to be private pay. Click to read our full analysis.
